Launch your idea by prepping for production
Budgeting for production
There are many costs involved in getting to your first sample to prepare for actual production. Your first pattern will most likely need to be revised, possibly several times. This means your sample will have to be made again with each pattern revision. Each time is an additional cost because the pattern maker and the sample maker have to get paid for their time, much like an architect gets paid for each revision when building a house. The package pricing is best as it includes all the time needed to get to the final product vs. hourly.
Sourcing
Sourcing for fabrics/components:$80/hour-Many companies cannot be Googled because the industry is still very old fashioned and based on relationships. The time includes calling companies while emailing them too and the client gets the list of companies.
Consulting
Consulting:$120/hour-Whether a company wants to build an in-house manufacturing department, or needs help with a product outside of their wheelhouse, we can help. If you have an idea and need an expert opinion on whether you should go ahead or pivot, give us a call. Every consultation is filled with valuable information and expertise.
Planning
Planning-Having a timeline helps clients feel like they have a hold on the process. This also helps with budgeting. When should I buy labels? How much fabric do I buy to get started? How long will it take to get to a final pattern? All of these are questions that are different for each client.
